The tour guide was great, the food was not. Beautiful city and nice tour but the food was not that good. Shrimp not fresh. If you don’t buy liquor there are no drinks included in the 125.00 per person price.

Totally worth the price. We took a friend from out of town. Our guide,Nicole,was waiting for us when we arrive. She was knowledgeable and friendly, who even laughed at our jokes. Knowing about the artists made the the murals a little more special.The food and drink parings was amazing. They were very accommodating to a vegetarian request. It is a perfect way to try several try several establishments: Saigon Alley, The Porch, Alvaro Craft Brewery and Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates. Be hungry! The salty caramel ice cream sandwich is a must try!

My husband and I had a delightful experience touring Midtown and enjoying Farm to Fork restaurants in the area.  We tried new foods and drinks and saw some of the art and culture we hadn't seen before.  The owner and operator was delightful and was busy making sure we were all having a great time.  We couldn't recommend this experience more.

My husband and I had a great time on our Sac Town Bites food tour. We went to some great spots, each with its own delicious off menu dish. We got the drinks add-on which was totally worth it. Each location had full pours of a cocktail, wine or beer, all paired perfectly with the food. Heather, our guide, offered some interesting facts about each restaurant and dish and showed us some great street art along the way. She even made sure we got a special dessert at our last spot since we were celebrating my birthday. We would highly recommend this tour and look forward to trying new tours through Sac Town Bites in the future!

This was a great way to spend an afternoon.  I appreciated that it was a small group (10 guests).  The restaurants we visited were ready to receive us.  Our guide, Heather, even made a couple on-the-fly meal changes.  The food bites were tasty, and we were all full by the end.  Heather's knowledge of the art scene in mid-town was a bonus.

This small group tour is great. The food portions are as generous as they are delicious and varied.  Our guide shared her substantial knowledge and enthusiasm, including about the many murals we passed on our mid-town walk.   We opted for the additional beverage menu which included glasses of (good) interesting wines and even a couple of signature cocktails (yum). Heather was a wonderful and knowledgable guide. The walk was easy and beautifully curated to pass by many of Sacramento’s gorgeous murals and tree lined streets. The food was fabulous at all locations and included a surprising number of vegetarian and vegan options for those opting for it. I would highly recommend Sactown Bites!

Great tour with tasty bites from restaurants that we thought we didn’t like. As a vegan, I was very impressed with the options provided.  Also, walking is the best way to see the Sac murals.

We recently took the SacTown Bites midtown food tour with Heather.  The variety of dishes were perfect and the portions were generous. Our group was small and we all had a great time sampling the food dishes and walking around midtown.  A bonus on our tour was the many stops to enjoy the "Wide Open Walls" artwork.  We will definitely take this tour again!

We had a really terrific time on our SacTown Bites tour.

Heather went above and beyond our expectations. She wowed us with her deep knowledge of Sacramento's culture, the farm to fork movement, and detailed background information on the local ingredients in our food. The restaurants we visited were nice establishments with excellent food. One of us is a vegetarian, and we could not have been happier with the accommodations. Heather even took some great pictures of us and emailed them over the next day!

Excellent way to spend an afternoon with new and old friends!  Food was delicious at each venue and learning more about the restaurants and food sources was interesting.  Even though I had eaten a couple restaurants I enjoyed trying some new dishes.  I even went back the following week and ordered the same dish!!!
At first it seemed like a lot of food but the walking helped prepare me for the next treat.
Plan on going hungry and not having dinner afterwards!!!

We really enjoyed the SacBites farm-to-fork walking food tour! This was a great intro to the Midtown food scene. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to a good mix of restaurants. The food was amazing! I will definitely go back to some of the places on the tour. Highly recommend it, even if your a local.

I spent a fantastic Friday afternoon with old and new friends walking the streets of Midtown learning about the Farm to fork movement sweeping our area. Our guide, Heather, was knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging. We walked maybe a little over a mile throughout the tour, which was the perfect way to see some of the beautiful art our city has to offer. We tried several restaurants I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise as the mom of two active boys. We don’t get out much so it was nice to know the these restaurants had been hand selected and they did not disappoint when it came to our food selection. We upgraded to the VIP option to have drinks included and it was WELL worth it. I would definitely recommend this tour for my foodie friends, mom groups that want a fun afternoon or anyone looking to entertain guests from out of town.

I fell in love with Sacramento on the SacTown Bites walking food tour. Our meet up location was easy to find and the sign-in quick and easy, then we were off to our first tasting which was located about a block away. I enjoyed learning about the importance of the farm to fork philosophy and how it impacts our lives. It was especially encouraging to hear about the history of some of the individual farms. I’m so glad we can support these businesses and the F to F movement by spending an afternoon meeting new friends, learning about art, walking in a beautiful city, and tasting delicious, fresh food. The option to add drink pairings definitely kicks it up a notch. (Say yes to the spiked peach sweet tea!) It was nice to be in a group that included children, young adults and older folks. And our guide, Heather, was knowledgeable and informative. I had not expected to learn about the abundance of public art in the area so; added bonus! All of the restaurants we visited were welcoming and friendly and ready for us. The flow was seamless, the food was delicious. I don’t normally spend an afternoon dining on such carefully thought out fresh, local foods and I am so glad that SacTown Bites is there to help correct the error of my ways. If you are visiting or are lucky enough to live in Sacramento do not miss this adventure!

I was excited about this food tour as it is new to the Sacramento area. I was not disappointed, but in fact was treated to some great restaurants with phenomenal food. Our guide, Heather was very knowledgeable of the restaurants and their chefs/owners. She gave us a brief history of how the restaurants came about and the food they offered. As a foodie I can tell you this tour certainly highlighted the Farm to table concept and the sources from which the restaurants obtained their food. I would highly recommend this tour for those who want unique food to enjoy with friends and a bit of Sacramento history. A great time was had by everyone and we had the chance to make new friends.

We had a great (if a little hot) afternoon eating wonderful, fresh food and learning a ton about the slow food and farm to fork movements, Sacramento's walk of fame, Wide Open Walls, food desert gardening initiatives, and other Sacramento art initiatives.  Heather was a great guide, and we (as natives) learned a lot about our town and its restaurants.  This would be a great way for a weekend (or short term) visitor to get exposed to a lot of great restaurants and the heart of Sacramento in a short, highly enjoyable package.  Plenty to eat, plenty to drink (if you add on).
