Hallstatt and the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut is definitely one of the most beautiful regions in Austria. Some of the most beautiful sights: The oldest salt mine in the world, the Salzwelten in Hallstatt with its over 3000 years old tunnels, The Skywalk, where you have the best view of Hallstatt, the lake and the alps. The catholic church from 1181 in Hallstatt is a beautiful gem in the midst of the world cultural heritage village and is worth to visit.
