Then, step back in time at Fort Wilkins, built in 1844, where history re-enactors bring the past to life. Admission is free with a Recreation Passport.Your journey continues along Lake Superior, where you can admire volcanic rock formations and expansive vistas. Take a moment to pause for beachcombing or a swim on sunny days. Afterwards, explore Quincy Mine, affectionately known as "Old Reliable," for an underground tour and learn about the region's mining heritage at the nearby Cliff and Delaware Mines.Conclude your adventure at The Jampot, a serene setting where monks bake using local ingredients. Here, you can indulge in boozy cakes and oversized muffins, providing a sweet end to your journey.
