Itinerary

  • Your Seattle walking tour starts out at this historic building that graces downtown’s skyline. You may want to return after your food tour to ride an elevator to the top floor to enjoy its observatory and bar!

    10 minutes
  • Chinatown International District

Your tour will mostly take place in this one-of-a-kind neighborhood that has preserved its cultural past and present and which is also home to many excellent restaurants. You’ll be enjoying tastes from some of these long-established eateries and hearing about the history of the district and how it has changed over the years.

    2 hours
  • Your tour may stop in or pass by this historic hotel and cafe with an incredible past. The main-floor cafe serves up a variety of teas and snacks, and the space is a dedicated museum preserving the history of Seattle’s Japantown.

  • Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience

Following your Seattle food adventure, you may want to spend some more time in the area immersing yourself in the Asian American experience. There’s no better place to do this than the Wing Luke Museum, housing thousands of artifacts, photographs, and oral histories.

  • Yesler Way

Your walking tour starts in front of the Smith Tower, situated on the intersection of 2nd Avenue and historic Yesler Way. Your tour guide will provide some history behind this street, sometimes referred to as “Skid Road”.

  • Kobe Terrace

During your Chinatown food tour, you may stop by or spot this terrace constructed on a steep Seattle hillside. The terrace is a collection of seemingly haphazard garden plots tended to by the local residents and, farther up, a walkway with Japanese-inspired gardens and stone structures.

  • King Street Station

You’ll likely spot this historic station along your guided tour walk from Pioneer Square to the Chinatown International District. Constructed in 1906 by the Great Northern Railway, the structure is one of the most iconic buildings of the neighborhood.

  • Our food tour usually passes by this historic Seattle Chinatown restaurant, known for not just its menu but its claim to fame as a famous actor’s favorite place to eat after a heavy day of training.

  • Seattle Pinball Museum

After your foodie tour, you might want to circle back to burn off some extra energy playing classic and modern games at the largest public pinball collection in the Pacific Northwest!

  • Hing Hay Park

We’ll likely pass through this urban park, located in the heart of the ID and where residents come to relax and recreate.

  • Uwajimaya

Your food tour has to include a stop at this well-known local grocery store, where we may grab a snack for everyone to enjoy!

  • Your food tour guide may take you past this historic Japanese restaurant, one of the oldest in the city dating back to 1904!

  • Our tour may pass by or even stop in this creative cafe and bar that serves up decadent Filipino desserts and delicious alcoholic beverages.

  • Pioneer Square

Our history and culture tour actually begins in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, adjacent to Chinatown International District. Your tour guide will share stories of Seattle’s early days as a pioneer town and even prior to its settlement and establishment as the city we know today.

  • Union Station Great Hall

Trains were a vital part of Seattle’s earlier days as a logging town, and we may pass by this former train station where your tour guide can share the stories of the city’s struggle to become an important Pacific Northwest industrial hub.
