Description
The Sacramento History Museum is housed in a reproduction of the 1854 City Hall and Waterworks building. The location is also the traditional territory and ancestral homelands of the Nisenan Tribal people. The Sacramento Valley was, and still is, land that has been inhabited for thousands of years since time immemorial by the Nisenan, Miwok, Patwin, and Maidu people.
Take a leisurely stroll through the Sacramento History Museum on a self-guided visit, and learn the history of early Sacramento through interactive exhibits and videos.
