Full-Day Tour to Yucatecan Haciendas & Their Amazing Cenotes

Hacienda Sotuta de Peón is a beautifully restored estate in Yucatán that takes you on a journey back to the golden era of the henequén industry. During a guided tour, you'll explore the elegant main house and witness the fascinating henequén extraction process, where agave fibers are transformed into twine using traditional methods and original machinery. You'll also visit a traditional Mayan house and learn about the customs and daily life of the Mayan people who worked in the hacienda. To top off your visit, take a refreshing dip in the stunning cenote, surrounded by lush vegetation. It's a vibrant experience that combines history, culture, and natural beauty!

20 minutes from Hacienda Sotuta de Peón, we find Hacienday Mucuyché, one of the most beautiful haciendas in Mexico. It not only has history but it is full of natural beauty too. It has 2 cenotes in it!

This hacienda is almost 400 years old. The oldest record of the hacienda dates from the 17th century. The activities that once took place at the hacienda are cattle ranching, henequen plantation, and today, tourism.

Our guided visit will allow you to relieve the golden era of this place and at the end of the tour, have fun and refresh yourself in the 2 cenotes.

One is called Carlotta Cenote, and it receives this name as it was visited by Empress Carlota, Princess of Belgium, married to Maximilian, Archduke of Austria, who seven years later would be crowned Emperor of Mexico. It is said that she was the first non-Maya descendant to swim in this cenote.

The second cenote is called "Blue Maya". It can be said that it is a young cenote. It has refreshing turquoise waters.
