Same situation as the other 1 star reviews. Total chaos, late trains, staff not having any idea what's happening, giving passengers totally incorrect information. It seems like it has been happening for months by the reviews. Honestly not what you would expect at a major station in a capital city. Avoid this station at all costs if you possibly can.

Basically no signage for Cercanías Madrid services. You never know when would your train come and which platform would it stop at. Well actually you don't even know which train you should take as there is NO information on intermediate stops of the nearly 10 different services stopping at this station.

We caught a train to Santander on a Monday. Station was clean, organised and with good choices for spots to sit and have a drink or snack. HOWEVER to expect someone to pay 1€ to use the bathroom is utterly ridiculous. No public toilets available. I had no change at all and was desperate to use the toilets. Unacceptable

i dont usually make negative reviews, but i have to share this one with the world. this place should be closed. i recommend chosing another station or not coming to madrid AT ALL. it was one of the worst travel experiences of my life. we wanted to know stuff about the metro and nobody could give us the info. instead of spending 5 minutes there i spent there almost 1,5h, because i kept getting redirected by the staff, mind you they (the workers of an extremely touristic place) dont speak ANY english, which made it even worse od an experience as i cant communicate in spanish as well as i can in english. i dont expect people to know english perfectly , but as a polish girl i find it extremely hard to understand people not knowing THE BASICS of such an international language when working in tourism sector. i was forced to buy a metro card instead of a single paper ticket, which resulted in me paying 6€ for two trips. the staff was unhelpful even when speaking spanish, the signs were not visible. a random pedestrian helped me return back to the city. the toilets are 1€, which is also a bummer. stay away. seriously
