Flexible Cancellations
Cancellation Policy
.• If you cancel your ticket more than 24 hours before departure, you will be refunded the full ticket price. • If you cancel your ticket less than 24 hours before departure, no refund will be given. • If you miss your bus and do not inform Citiliner, you will not be refunded. • If your bus is delayed or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be refunded the full ticket price. • If you change your ticket, you will be charged a R50 fee. • If you wish to transfer your ticket to another person, you will be charged an R50 fee. • If you wish to change the date or time of your ticket, you will be charged a R50 fee.
Smooth Luggage
Luggage Policy
- Passengers are allowed to bring one piece of luggage on board for free, provided that it does not exceed the maximum weight of 20 kg.
- An additional fee is charged for any item exceeding the limit of 20 kg. The fee is ZAR150 per item
- No single item can exceed 50 kg in weight.
- Passengers are allowed to bring a small handbag or backpack, which must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat.
- Passengers are not allowed to bring any dangerous, hazardous, or illegal items on board.
- Passengers are not allowed to bring any weapons, firearms, explosives, or other hazardous items on board.
- Passengers are not allowed to bring any animals on board, except for service animals.
Pet-Friendly Guidelines
Pet Policy
- Citiliner does not allow pets on board their buses, with the exception of service animals, such as guide dogs, for passengers with disabilities.
- Passengers travelling with a service animal must provide proof of their disability, such as a valid South African Medical Aid card.
- Pets of any kind, including cats, dogs, birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians and other animals, are not allowed on board Citiliner buses.
- Citiliner does not provide pet transport services, and the company cannot be held liable for any injury, loss or damage sustained by a pet.
